Hose Inspection
& Spooling
Indoor hydraulic inspection and spooling facility. Every hose checked to standard, pressure tested, documented, and returned ready for service, onshore or offshore.
The facility
Indoor hydraulic spooling unit
Our dedicated indoor facility handles hose inspection and spooling for umbilicals, hydraulic hoses, and flexible risers used in offshore operations. The unit runs with wireless remote control and an automatic winder that correctly positions the hose onto the drum.
Spooling is performed under pressure for hose expansion control, with an elevated inspection platform providing full access along the entire length. Operators are available for mobilisation onshore and offshore.

Inspection criteria
Assemblies are removed from service on discovery of any of the following:
Outer cover damage
Exposed or visible reinforcing wires due to abrasion, cuts, or impact.
Kinking, crushing, twisting
Any permanent deformation along the hose body affecting flow or pressure rating.
Reduced outside diameter
Indication of inner wire failure or collapse.
Cover degradation
Blistering, bubbling, or loose outer cover. Often a sign of internal deterioration.
Fitting condition
Corroded, damaged, or mechanically compromised end fittings.
Testing
Pressure testing to ISO & API
Test pressure
1.5× maximum working pressure per ISO and API specifications.
Hold time
Minimum 1 hour at test pressure before pass/fail assessment.
Spooling under pressure
Hose expansion controlled during spooling by maintaining line pressure throughout the operation.
Visual inspection
Full-length visual check from the elevated inspection platform on every deployment.
Deliverables
