Fluid Control Service workshop

Built for the demands of the North Sea

Since 1998, Fluid Control Service has supplied, maintained, and engineered high-pressure equipment for the world's most demanding oil and gas operations.

Our Story

From a portable cabin to global offshore operations

A company built on experience, resilience and performance.

Fluid Control was founded in 1998 by Arve Håland, in a portable cabin on Sola.

We grew steadily in high-pressure equipment and offshore operations. Like many in the industry, the oil downturn hit us hard.

We rebuilt with tighter operations and a sharper focus. Since then, FCS has delivered projects across four continents.

Today, we support Equinor, Aker BP, SLB, Baker Hughes and Halliburton, among others. We continue to design and build equipment that moves fluid safely and efficiently offshore.

We didn't get here by being the biggest. We got here by being fast and reliable.

How We Work

Decisions get made where the work happens

Built to move fast

Most decisions take hours, not weeks. Whoever needs to be in the conversation is usually in the next room.

Hands-on

Our machinists, welders, and engineers sit in the same building. Custom components don't need email chains. We walk across the workshop.

Invested

Low sick leave. High retention. People who've been here 20+ years and chose to stay. The team has lived through every cycle.

Innovation & Technology

We develop solutions that don't exist yet

Our work reduces vessel time, improves safety, and increases efficiency offshore. All-electric deployment systems, pre-rigged units, and advanced fluid transfer for real operational problems.

See our projects

All-Electric CTDL

World-first all-electric Coiled Tubing Downline. Single lift, any vessel, no hydraulics.

Pre-Rigged Systems

Eliminating manual rig-up offshore. Fewer personnel, zero heavy lifts, faster operations.

Advanced Fluid Transfer

Custom umbilical and high-pressure fluid transfer technologies for complex offshore environments.

Custom Engineering

We design and build to spec, from concept through to commissioning.

Sustainability

We take responsibility for the footprint we have

We can't change the industry overnight, but we can reduce our footprint at our scale. Sustainability isn't a separate initiative for us. It's built into how we work.

Electrification

All-electric CTDL. No hydraulics needed.

Lifecycle extension

Refurbish and recertify. Don't replace.

Waste reduction

Reduce, reuse, recycle across operations.

Efficient design

Energy and environment built into every brief.

Team at Fluid Control Service

Working at FCS

We don't have a careers page because people tend to stay

People own their work here. The leadership team has been tested by every cycle in this industry and stayed put.

If you're interested in working with us, send a note to hr@fluidcontrol.no. We're always open to hearing from good people.

Safety

Certificates on a wall don't keep people safe. People keep people safe

Safety here comes down to a simple principle: everyone is responsible for their own safety and the safety of the people around them.

That means stopping work when something isn't right. Reporting near-misses. Keeping workspaces clean. Using correct PPE. Giving and receiving feedback without ego. And caring about the environmental impact of what we do.

Safety at Fluid Control Service

Certifications, approvals & policies

We operate an Integrated Management System certified by KIWA. All certificates and key documents are available for download.

At Fluid Control, strong performance starts with the right mindset.

We bring together expert engineering, hands-on experience, and a genuine safety culture to deliver solutions you can trust.

Simple as that: a flexible partner who keeps your operations safe, efficient, and on track.
