All it took was a short WhatsApp call for FCS to spring into action and do what we do best.
Our client contacted us on Friday afternoon with a request that required mobilisation of a single almost 0,5km length of 6ND SoluForce H-515 hose installed onto a deployment drum ~ that was the easy part as FCS carry this equipment ready for mobilisation. What was more challenging was the drum drive needed to match the equipment in destination country BAKU.
Using the original manufacturing drawings (unit produced by Fluid Control Service AS) our machinists, welders and technicians managed to produce a custom drive shaft, including butterfly and bearing assembly, install/test and prepare for shipment together with the 4,5m diameter drum within 1 week.
In the background were our logistics provider Logitrans who had been challenged together with others to locate the fastest possible solution for transport (including option for air freight using Antonov Airlines). Eventually, sea passage to Poti, Georgia of 32 days was booked with delivery at clients base in Baku 4 days later.
